Joblink Midwest offer personalised career guidance through our trained Jobs & Skills Centre staff. We will assist you to develop a career action plan to implement and make your way to further study, training or employment.
I saw an advertised job that might be for me. How do I apply for it?
If you are unsure about the process taken to apply for a job, then come and see us. Joblink Midwest’s Jobs & Skills Centre staff can help with writing a resume, application letters, interview skills or addressing selection criteria. We have fully trained and capable staff and assistance from great computer programs to make your application a stand out.
I'll be deferring my university studies for a year so I can work and save some money. Can you still help me to increase my chances at gaining employment?
We certainly can. Joblink Midwest’s Jobs & Skills Centre staff can help to revise your resume, and provide referrals as well as giving you tips on acquiring the right type of work for you.
I want to do some work experience to improve my chances of getting a job, apprenticeship or traineeship. What help is available?
Through Joblink Midwest, we offer free cover with insurance for work experience. We can also supply an Employer feedback form so that you can receive a written assessment on your performance in the workplace for future reference.
I'm going to Uni and my parents and I are a bit worried about what's going to happen. Can you help us?
The move from School to University is always difficult, which is compounded by the fact that you are moving from a regional area to the city in order to study. Joblink Midwest’s Jobs & Skills Centre offers a workshop that deals with the process of moving from school to work as well as what the children and their parents should expect.
I have absolutely no clue what to do at all. Can you Help me?
If you have absolutely no idea what to do our Career Development Officers can help you. We have the Career Builder program that assists people of all ages to establish their career pathway linked to the type of work ideally suited to their personality. We will provide you with options and the resources to achieve your career goals.
